PT. Kaltimex Energy was incorporated in 1996 in Indonesia with the target to be one of the leading companies to provide distributed power in Indonesia. Kaltimex was the pioneer company to obtain the first IPP license in the private sector to operate a 23 MW Power Plant for a large textile company in Central Java. Since then, Kaltimex Energy has installed ~900MW throughout Indonesia, encompassing: Rental (PLN), Palm Oil, Sugar, Textile, Malls, and many other industrial sectors.

Kaltimex Energy also represents world-renowned power generation products like Maxwatt Turbo System Steam Turbines, Caterpillar owned MWM Gas Engines, TATA owned Voltas Vapor Absorption Machines, Wabio Biogas Technology, OPRA radial turbines (Destinus Owned), Biofabrik containerized plastic to fuel plants & GGIE waste to energy technology. We also provide ESCO services in Indonesia, Bangladesh and the Philippines.

Kaltimex Energy has been in the rural electrification business partnering with PLN since 2001. Kaltimex Energy owns and operates diesel & gas power plants, providing much-needed power to PLN on rental basis.

Kaltimex Energy is also proud to serve the Palm Oil & Sugar Industries in Indonesia, having installed over 225 units of Steam Turbines, generating around 320 MW of power.

Kaltimex has installed various cogeneration and trigeneration systems using waste heat from the exhaust of gensets and combining with vapor absorption machines, thereby increasing the overall efficiency from around 35% in the open cycle to close to 80% in the trigeneration mode. Cogeneration and trigeneration are energy-saving solutions for those facilities that operate 24/7, use excessive power, and have significant heating and cooling loads.

Kaltimex Trigeneration based turnkey power plant project in a prestigious five-star hotel and resort on the island of Bali is a testimony of its expertise in all the three areas, namely Power Generation, Steam, and Air Conditioning.

With the development and the necessity to move towards a greener and sustainable energy solutions, Kaltimex Group is now actively developing renewable energy projects through the usage of Biogas, Biomass, Municipal Solid Waste, and other energy efficiency technologies.
